MOSES the coward; the 'us'

Hello my dear saltshakers (: How has bringing flavour to the earth been? (sorry that's my favourite part of the mission statement of SS.)

Neways, Australia has been fine and dandy for me.. EXCEPT THAT IT'S SOOOOOOOOO HOT NOW!!! I'm dying.. it feels more humid and hot than singapore.. which i never thought possible. Now i think singapore's weather is better Xp

I just wanna encourage those who think they're not talented or worthy enough to serve in God's ministry with the story of Moses.

God had called Moses to Egypt to tell the Pharaoh to let the Israelites go..
HOWEVER, Moses was afraid and was worried that he wasn't good enough. Even after God appeared to Moses in a burning bush and told him that He would be with him.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Exodus 4: 1-3

Moses answered, "What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, 'The Lord did not appear to you'?"

Then the Lord said to him, "What is that in your hand?"

"A staff," He replied.

The Lord said, "Throw it on the ground."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

God wants whatever we have in our hands. Everything we have, whether we think is useful or not, offer it to God. He will give us strength in our weaknesses.. He will use whatever we have to glorify His name :) Lay everything down before God and you will see God do things you can never imagine would happen.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Exodus 4: 10-11

Moses said to the Lord, "O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue."

The Lord said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

haha.. some of you may be surprised.. but even after the Lord said that, Moses was still reluctant.. so God, full of anger, appointed Aaron to be his spokesman.

I don't know about you.. but Moses sounds a lot like me.. haha. I always feel as if I'm not holy enough or close to God enough to give Him anything. But God just wants us to give Him whatever we've got and to trust in Him to provide the strength we need to do His work.

Deuteronomy 34: 10-12

"Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, who did all those miraculous signs and wonders the Lord sent him to do in Egypt- to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land. For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel."

Just take the step of faith and you'll open the door for God to do unsearchable wonders and miracles. Nothing is impossible for God. Don't underestimate God by limiting Him.
